Memorandum of the Alliance for the cancellation of the "Green deal"

Hereby, we want to subscribe to the idea that the so-called The "Green Deal", which is imposed on us by neo-Marxist elites, extremist - especially non-governmental organizations, mainstream media, activist politicians, but also some scientists, is a fast path to the deindustrialization of Europe, leads to the loss of personal freedoms, is a path to energy poverty and overall the decline of one of the most developed regions of the world - Europe. The "Green deal" is an unrealizable fiction of activist politicians, whose roots we find in totalitarian neo-Marxism and subsequent derivatives of neo-Marxism, one of which is the "Green deal".

It is indisputable that the "carbon tax" is only a tool to impoverish the people of Europe, ending in the loss of property. The planned "carbon neutrality" is only one of the ways in which European citizens will lose property, including real estate, as the poorer part of them will not be able to pay the "carbon tax", nor the increased costs of heating and energy, necessary for everyday life. Furthermore, this tax will increase fuel prices disproportionately with the subsequent liquidation of goods transport, passenger transport and will generally eliminate transport in Europe as such.

It is indisputable that the so-called emission allowances do not fulfill their purpose at all, they have only become a tool for trading and profits. We see no benefit in China, for example, building coal-fired power plants from the profits of trading these allowances.

It is indisputable that the "Green deal" has already increased and will continue to increase costs for farmers to the point where they become uncompetitive compared to farmers from countries that do not have a "Green deal" or similar ideas.

It is indisputable that the "Green deal" has already increased and will continue to increase costs for livestock producers. The idea of replacing the missing products in animal production by imports from countries that do not have a "Green deal", on the other hand, use GMO technologies in plant production, including pesticides and insecticides, which are prohibited in the EU, as they harm human health, or similar ideas from overseas , only points to the senselessness of the "Green deal" in this respect and the stupidity of its authors. The atmosphere of the planet Earth is shared and there is no separate atmosphere for e.g. South America and for Europe.

It is indisputable that the "Green Deal" creates a huge space for our competitors in almost every segment of the economy from countries that do not have anything similar to the "Green Deal" or implement similar ideas with reason and taking into account the economic conditions of the residents of their region.

It is indisputable that at the moment no country in Europe is able to build such an energy infrastructure that transport built on the requirements of the "Green Deal" can prevail in Europe, for example in the electrification of cars. We are determined to end the senseless bullying of internal combustion engine manufacturers and their users with meaningless road vehicle emission standards and stop this bullying with the Euro 6 standard. Electromobility must not be enforced by force and must be left to car users to decide.

It is indisputable that the effort to switch to renewable energy sources is inherently unfeasible. Moreover, not a single so-called a "renewable" source of energy is not such that it does not damage and devastate the environment, including ecosystems and biotopes. The focus on renewable energy sources promoted by the "Green Deal" circles is unfeasible in the natural and climatic conditions of Europe. We are in favor of re-evaluating the role of the so-called renewable energy sources in the energy mix and an objective assessment of their real capacity and usability in individual countries, taking into account geographical specifics - such as length of sunshine, average temperatures, air flow, etc. It is still true that the only "clean" energy is nuclear energy.

It is indisputable that the "Green deal", on the contrary, will increase atmospheric pollution by transporting goods and commodities missing due to the "Green deal" across the oceans. Furthermore, individual segments of the "Green Deal" ideology require child labor when obtaining raw materials for batteries for electric cars, wind power plants fundamentally disturb the migration of birds, but also large animals, small hydropower plants change habitats and ecotopes, "fields" from solar panels also disturb habitats and ecotopes, for large areas also affect local hydrological conditions and the like. For example, the processing of raw materials and the production of batteries for electric cars is energy-intensive, and we do not yet know how to dispose of these batteries without impacting the environment.

It is indisputable that a symptomatic accompanying sign of climate-alarmism and climate-activism is the absence of impact studies on nonsensically adopted measures, but also on planned nonsensical measures. Since doing impact studies on nonsensical measures is nonsense, it is necessary to implement impact studies on rational measures, such as especially adaptation measures.

It is indisputable that Europe cannot under any circumstances contribute to global warming by producing CO2. The total content of CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere is 0.04%. Humans contribute 4% to the total annual CO2 production of the planet Earth. If we take the 4% as a whole, Europe contributes 9.3%. Overall, Europe therefore contributes to the annual production of CO2 by planet Earth approx. 0.37%. From these numbers alone, it must be clear that the "Green deal" in Europe is nonsense and a bogus, ideological construction.

It is indisputable that CO2 is a gas that is absolutely essential for life on Earth. Without CO2, there would be no life on Earth. For example - for plants, even agricultural ones, the optimal CO value is2 5 times higher than it is today. When the CO2 content in the atmosphere is 150-200ppm, photosynthesis stops. Today's value is 421ppm.

It is undeniable that there is no unequivocal consensus among scientists that CO2 is causing the planet to warm. We are convinced that the funds needed for the senseless implementation of the "Green Deal" in Europe should be transferred to adaptation measures, since the Earth is actually warming, because the climate on planet Earth changes periodically. It creates new challenges for farmers, medicine, water management, energy, and for human life as such.

In conclusion, we express our concern that the upcoming EP elections are the last option to stop the senseless destruction of Europe by means of the "Green deal" and reverse the suicidal direction of the EU at the same time.

Therefore, we declare:

Our interest is the protection of the environment in such a way that this protection correlates with the protection of the health, quality of life and standard of living of EU residents. We are convinced that it is possible and necessary to find a reasonable compromise between human activity and the environment in which he lives when protecting the environment. Such a compromise that will not devalue the quality of the environment, nature and landscape, but also the quality of life of a person in the country. This should be the goal of a reasonable environmental protection policy in the European Union. We call on all voters in the EU member states to come to the June elections and with their vote prevent Europe from becoming an open-air museum and a tragic reminder of where ideologies lead, which, due to the arrogance of their authors, are superior to the laws of physics, biology and, in general, to the laws of nature .

By accepting this memorandum, we demonstrate our determination to push for the repeal of the "Green Deal" in the EP. Either through our deputies in individual factions, or in a separate faction. This memorandum is open and may be subscribed to by any party who identifies with its content.

The author of the Memorandum is RNDr. Ján Baránek, chairman of the Slovak political party Zdravý rozum.
